GB PARENTING FORUM’S IMPORTANCE EMPHASIZED

FREEPORT, Grand Bahama — Local officials within the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Grand Bahama Principals and Vice Principals Association (GBPVPA) are encouraging full participation in the Second Annual Parenting Forum, which is scheduled this Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m., the Freeport News reported September 19.

GBPVPA President Gia Walker noted on Tuesday that the forum is open not only to parents but indeed all and sundry, as “it takes a village to raise a child.”

“The GBPVPA is pleased to sponsor the 2nd Annual Parents Forum. Our theme again says it all, ‘It takes a village.’ That sums up the partnership that is needed between parents, teachers and our children. All parents and guardians are encouraged to come out and participate this Saturday at St. George’s High School Gymnasium,” said Walker. “Along with an expert panel of speakers and timely topics, there will be lots of prizes, surprises and giveaways. You do not want to miss it.” http://thefreeportnews.com/news/gb-parenting-forums-importance-emphasized/
