GBPA AND GBCC PARTNER TO HOST SEMINAR

FREEPORT, Grand Bahama — Local businesses are encouraged to take advantage of the upcoming ProNET Certified Business Management Training Programme on May 29 -30 at the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce, the Freeport News reported May 23.

The Grand Bahama Port Authority Group of companies (GBPA), in conjunction with the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce (GBCC), will be hosting the two-day seminar.

Representatives from the GBPA and GBCC held a press conference on Wednesday, May 22, in the GBPA conference room to announce plans for the two-day seminar.

LaShawn Dames of the Invest Grand Bahama Small Business Bureau (IGBSBB) revealed that this initiative is also in partnership with the Caribbean Export Development Agency.

“We’ve done this before in the past, numerous times,” she said.

“The ProNET Management Training is an excellent training initiative as it is specifically geared towards micro and small companies,” she added.

Mercynth Ferguson, GBCC Executive Director, expressed that they are pleased to partner with the GBPA as focusing on small businesses is a part of their mandate for the year.
