FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, Sept. 26, 2023 – The Grand Bahama Port Authority (GBPA) today announced that it has postponed “The Unveiling” of its 50th Anniversary Golden Tribute that was scheduled for Friday, September 29, at 7:30 p.m. in Churchill Square in downtown Freeport.
In announcing the postponement, the GBPA stated, “In light of the recent passing of Minister Obie Wilchcombe, a beloved community figure, we feel it is essential to show our respect and allow our community time to grieve during this difficult period.”
