NASSAU, Bahamas, December 17, 2020 — Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis obviously in campaign mode, thus he is visiting all of the Opposition strongholds in the Family Islands first and then others. With all of the new developments — The Pointe, The Port, new subdivision out west, new buildings and infrastructure, hotels opening back up, extension of food aid and benefits, and the eventual legalization of “hemp” — I fully concur that the P.M. indeed is in election mode.
Will Bahamians still believe in the FNM come election day? Was it really “The Peoples Time.” Bahamians are always willing to “forgive and forget,” so Minnis and the FNM may still have a chance in 2022 or before (election may be called early). The fire is lit, but the “Bell” has not yet been rung. Will the Bahamian people say “GET OFF MY PORCH” or Not ??
Clearly, this is going to be a very interesting election, with Emergency Orders still in place, with a new permanent register and the reappointment of the former Parliamentary Commissioner and New Political Parties.
“RING DA BELL” Mr. P.M. Stay Tuned….My 2 Cents. For What It Is Worth.
