GOLDEN GATES MP PIA GLOVER-ROLLE CONTINUES “HEARTWARMING TRADITION’

Golden Gates MP Pia Glover-Rolle interacts with a student at Sybil Strachan School

WASHINGTON, D.C., September 5, 2023 — Golden Gates MP Pia Glover-Rolle, Minister of Labour and the Public Service, today posted this collection of photos on Facebook that were taken during a breakfast at Sybil Strachan School in her constituency. I decided to share some of them with reader of my online publication, BAHAMAS CHRONICLE, which has a huge following among the Bahamian diaspora across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom as well as in The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.

Mrs. Glover-Rolle posted the photos with the following narrative:

As the sun rose over my beloved Sybil Strachan School in Golden Gates, I continued a heartwarming tradition that I began 2 years ago, providing our dedicated teachers with a hot and hearty breakfast to kickstart their day! Yesterday, I had the profound pleasure of expressing my gratitude by serving and showing my appreciation for their unwavering commitment to shaping the minds of our future leaders.

Our teachers are the guiding stars in our students’ lives, igniting a passion for learning and instilling invaluable wisdom. Yesterday, I wanted to reciprocate their dedication by serving them a small token of my appreciation, reminding them of the profound impact they have on each and every one of us.

Moreover, I would like to extend a special welcome to our new principal, Mrs. Maycock, who has brought her effervescent spirit to the campus, ready to lead with energy!  Together, Mrs. Maycock and her team are shaping the future of education at Sybil Strachan Primary School, and we are grateful to be a part of this transformative journey.

Let us remember that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a monumental difference.

Today, I encourage everyone to take a moment to acknowledge the educators in our nation and give back in any way you can.

I send a special thank you and blessings to former principal Mrs. Glendena Mills who starts her new journey at Eva Hilton Primary.
