GOLDEN JUBILEE CELEBRATION BREAKFAST

FREEPORT, Grand Bahama – In partnership with the Ministry of Grand Bahama, Carnival Cruise Line welcomed national leadership members and other distinguished guests to a celebratory breakfast to mark The Bahamas’ 50th anniversary of independence.

The breakfast was hosted aboard the Spirit-class Carnival Legend on Friday, June 23, as the ship was docked in Freeport during its seven-night cruise, which set sail from Baltimore on Sunday, June 1

Mr. Brown and his daughter Magistrate Simone Brown.

The Grand Bahama 50th Independence Committee used the occasion to honour former and present Grand Bahama parliamentarians and to thank them for their service to the country.

They were presented with awards by Minister for Grand Bahama Ginger Moxey, accompanied by Mr Cecil Thompson and Leslie Dorsett-Lewis, co-chairpersons of the committee.

Among the award recipients was prominent attorney Simeon Brown, a former Member of Parliament for West Grand Bahama

Mr. Brown was accompanied by his daughter Magistrate Simone Brown.
