GREENSLADE AND CHAIR OF COMMONWEALTH SECRETARIAT BOARD OF GOVERNORS  HOLD “WIDE-RANGING” DISCUSSIONS

LONDON, England – His Excellency Ellison Greenslade, QPM, Bahamas High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, met with His Excellency Euripides Evriviades (right), High Commissioner of Cyprus to the United Kingdom and Chair of the Commonwealth Secretariat Board of Governors, on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. High Commissioner Greenslade is Chair of the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors of Commonwealth. Commenting in a tweet on the meeting, the Cyprus High Commissioner noted that he had  “wide-ranging, rich and forward looking discussion with my brother from The Bahamas, High Commissioner Ellison Greenslade, QPM, Chair of the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors of Commonwealth.” Euripides was elected unanimously as the new Chair of the Commonwealth Secretariat Board of Governors in June of 2018, succeeding Her Excellency Winnie Kiap, High Commissioner of Papua New Guinea to the United Kingdom, and will serve in this position for two years. All 53 Commonwealth member states are represented on the Board of Governors, which meets annually to consider Commonwealth Secretariat work plans and budgets.
