GREENSLADE ATTENDS CANADA DAY RECEPTION

LONDON, England — His Excellency Ellison  Greenslade, QPM (photo top right), Bahamas High Commissioner to London, attended a reception on Thursday, June 28, 2018, celebrating Canada Day. In a tweet, High Commissioner Greenslade said, “This afternoon I was truly pleased, along with the Diplomatic Corps, to join Her Excellency Mrs Janice Charette and her wonderful team at a reception to celebrate Canada Day at Canada House, Trafalgar Square, London. Congratulations Canada!” On July 1, 1867, Canada became a self-governing dominion of Great Britain and a federation of four provinces: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario, and Quebec. The anniversary of this date was called Dominion Day until 1982. Since 1983, July 1 has been officially known as Canada Day.
