LONDON, England — His Excellency Ellison Greenslade, QPM, Bahamas High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, and his wife Mrs. Kimberly Greenslade, Senior Manager of The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism in London, hosted a “thank you” luncheon reception for members of the National Youth Choir at the Bahamas High Commission, 10 Chesterfield Street, Mayfair, on Saturday, July 13, 2019
Announcing this on her Facebook page, Mrs. Greenslade added: “In attendance were Minister of Transport the Hon. Renward Wells and the Director General of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Sharon Brennen Haylock. Performing to the delight of the choir were Franz Hepburn and Melvin Claridge. 242 love🇧🇸❤”
Minister Wells was the special guest speaker at the reception held at the High Commission on Wednesday, July 10, as one of the events celebrating the 46th anniversary of The Bahamas’ attainment of independence from Great Britain.
A cross-section of Bahamians in the diaspora in the United Kingdom, diplomats and friends of The Bahamas who attended the reception were treated to a spectacular performance by the National Youth Choir.
Under the distinguished patronage of High Commissioner Greenslade and Mrs. Greenslade , the National Youth Choir also performed in a lunch-time concert on Thursday, July 12, at St. Paul’s Church, Bedford Street, Covent Garden.
