WASHINGTON, D.C., July 19, 2024 — Some 30 students and members of Bahamas Harvest Church in New Providence paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Wendall Jones, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States, on Thursday, July 18, 2024. The students, who are on a college tour in the United States, were in Washington, D.C., taking in some of the prominent museums and monuments in the city.

In his address to the students, Ambassador Jones reminded them that they were from one of the best countries in the world and that they should use every opportunity to stay abreast of current affairs internationally by reading.

Given the advancements in technology, Ambassador Jones told them that they all have access to instruments like cellphones and there is no excuse not to take advantage of opportunities to educate themselves for upward mobility.

Following their visit to Washington, the students boarded a bus for a trip to New York City.
