BAHAMAS CHRONICLE extends our pride-filled congratulations to the Government and People of Barbados on the occasion of the Fifty-Second Anniversary of Independence which is being celebrated under the theme, “Building Together – One Barbados”. After the British established their first settlement at Holetown in 1627, Barbados remained a British colony until achieving independence from Britain on November 30, 1966.
