CHICAGO, Illinois, July 18, 2023 – Bahamas Honorary Consul in Chicago Michael C Fountain posted a collection of photos on Facebook on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, that we decided to share with readers of BAHAMAS CHRONICLE, which has a huge following among the Bahamian diaspora across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom as well as in The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.
Honorary Consul Fountain has been doing an excellent job representing The Bahamas diplomatically in the Midwestern United States. States served by Mr. Fountain include Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North and South Dakota and Wisconsin.
Although the Bahamas Consulate in Chicago was accredited on March 6, 2014, Mr. Fountain was officially introduced as The Bahamas Honorary consul to the Chicago community by the Consul then Foreign Affairs and Immigration Minister Fred Mitchell at a reception in Chicago on Friday, September 5, 2014.
