HUNAN PROVINCE IN CHINA AND GRAND BAHAMA STRENGTHENING BONDS THROUGH CULTURE

NASSAU, Bahamas — The Ministry for Grand Bahama posted a collection of photos on Facebook on Thursday, May 11, 2023 as a Photo Essay about the performance of an acrobatic troupe from Hunan Province in China in Freeport, Grand Bahama. We decided to share some of them with readers of BAHAMAS CHRONICLE.They were posted with the following narrative:

“As we embark on establishing a sister city relationship between Hunan Province and Grand Bahama Island, the visiting Acrobatic troupe brought a unique and exciting dance experience to the Grand Bahama Regency Theatre to honor our country’s #GoldenJubilee.

The Minister for Grand Bahama, Hon. Ginger M. Moxey, expressed her hopes of further deepening this relationship and exploring new collaboration opportunities.

“With Grand Bahama poised to be the home of Maritime and Logistics, Events and Entertainment, and Innovation and Hunan being China’s capital of entertainment, we have much in common and so much to share with one another.”

In her remarks, Her Excellency Dai Quingli noted the continued friendship between her Embassy and the Ministry and the willingness to drive growth and innovation through the collaboration of both nations. We look forward to a continued relationship with Hunan Province in the form of a sister city relationship; this cultural gift was just the beginning.
