FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, May 10, 2019 (BIS) – Senator the Hon. Kwasi Thompson, Minister of State for Grand Bahama in the Office of the Prime Minister, thanked philanthropists Carl and Gigi Allen for their donation of hundreds of tablets to public schools in Grand Bahama, Abaco and Eleuthera in an effort to assist students in preparing for the technology age.

Addressing the media at the Office of the Prime Minister on Thursday, May 9, 2019, Minister Thompson said the donation of tablets to public schools has contributed to the digitization of the educational system in the country.

He publicly thanked Mr. and Mrs. Allen on behalf of Prime Minister the Most Hon. Dr. Hubert Minnis and Minister of Education the Hon. Jeffrey Lloyd for their generous gift that he said will benefit hundreds of young people.
