HURRICANE RELIEF SUPPLIES DONATED IN NEW YORK TO BE SHIPPED TO THE BAHAMAS THIS WEEKEND

NEW YORK – A large shipment of goods and supplies donated to The Bahamas’ Hurricane Relief Efforts in the New York City area will be shipped to The Bahamas this weekend, The Bahamas Consulate General in New York announced on Thursday, September 19, 2019, on its Facebook Page. The relief efforts coordinating team — Her Excellency Sheila Carey, Bahamas Ambassador to the United Nations; Mr. Lawrence “Larry” Cartwright, Bahamas Consul General to New York; and Consul Joy A. Newbold – on Thursday visited the storage warehouse from where the first load of donated goods will depart. They were informed by the shipper that “the total goods to be shipped this weekend will weigh some 66,000.” Expressing their gratitude, they noted: “Thank you, thank you, thank you.
