NASSAU, Bahamas — One of the big social news stories in The Bahamas over the weekend was the engagement of nouveau riche Bahamian multi-millionaire Adrian Fox to Miss Teen USA 2012 Logan West.
According to The PUNCH, one of The Bahamas’ leading newspapers, in its Monday, August 18 edition, “Romeo numbers boss Adrian Fox is no longer one of our most eligible bachelors. Fox’s huge female fan club of adoring girls are in mourning after learning that he is engaged to marry an American beauty who is half his age.”
Fox, 50, sealed his engagement to Miss Logan, 24, by slipping “a $500,000 heart-shaped diamond bling-ring” on her finger on Valentine’s Day last Thursday, according to The PUNCH.
In a video on Facebook, Miss West is seen celebrating her engagement with friends and proudly showing-off her $500,000 engagement ring.
According to Wikipedia, Miss West won the Miss Teen USA 2012 title after competing in a week of activities at Atlantis on Paradise Island in The Bahamas on July 28, 2012, “becoming the first contestant from the state of Connecticut to win the Miss Teen USA title.”
At the time, according to Wikipedia, Miss West told the media that “she had suffered from bullying at school during seventh grade” and was “told by a classmate that she didn’t act her skin color and was tortured and humiliated for six months, until “she started an anti-bullying program and also got the girl who had bullied her removed from her school”.
“West’s anti-bullying program is now used in most schools in the state of Connecticut’s school-system,” according to Wikipedia.
West’s future husband is co-owner of Island Luck Web Shops, one of the most successful numbers lottery operations in The Bahamas that has turned him and his partner Sebas Bastian into certified multi-millionaires since the numbers business was legalized in The Bahamas in 2014.
