WASHINGTON, D.C. — Deborah Anderson Pratt, who wrote a column for the Freeport News when I was its Editor (2003 – 2009), continues to make remarkable contributions to Grand Bahama as a motivational speaker. Because I am trying to establish my online publication BAHAMAS CHRONICLE as an effective news medium in Grand Bahama — where I lived for 12 years before relocating to Washington, D.C. as Press, Cultural Affairs and Information Manager at The Bahamas Embassy – I am reposting this photo that she posted on her Facebook page on Saturday, February 22, with the following information:

“Had a busy but beautiful morning doing what I love. My first assignment early this morning was at First Baptist Church, here in Freeport, Grand Bahama, where I was the guest speaker at a seminar held for their Children’s Ministry Workers. Speaking to them on their theme, “Reaching Our Kids in 2020,” I encouraged them to remember the *Purpose* of their ministry (“To reach young people where they are, tell them of the love of Jesus and bring them to Christianity”); reignite their *Passion* for serving (One should not serve in Children’s Ministry or any ministry because they feel pressured to do so but should have a passion for working with children); pledge to do more *Preparation* (Preparing for classes, finding creative ways to reach children and keeping up-to-date with social media and all of the latest trends); and continuously *Pray* for the children in their care.”

Keep up the good work Deborah. She is pictured at center in this photo. For promotional and advertising rates, I can be contacted at oswaldtbrown242@gmail.com. You can access BAHAMAS CHRONICLE at bahamaschronicle.com.
