LONDON, England — Mrs. Kimberley Greenslade, Senior Manager with The Bahamas Tourist Office (BTO) London, attended the “Lying in State of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday, September 15. Mrs. Greenslade, who is the wife of His Excellency Ellison Greenslade, QPM, Bahamas High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, posted these photos on Facebook with the following narrative:
“Today I had the distinct honor of attending the Lying in State of HM Queen Elizabeth II. As she lay there, surrounded by the insignia of her reign, a distinguished figure, larger than life, but yet such a humble soul in her time, it reminded me of the many interactions we had during my time here in the UK. Though saddened, thinking about her cheeky smile and twinkling eyes and good conversations, I smiled a little to myself. Signing the book of condolences at Lancaster House really made it feel so final. She will be missed. May her soul and the souls of all the dearly departed, rest in peace and rise in glory🙏”
