Ambassador Wendall Jones presents Mr. Chet Tae-won with a copy of the souvenir book of the 50th Anniversary of independence of The Bahamas. 

WASHINGTON, D.C., August 17, 2023 — The Chairman of The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chet Tae-won, on Tuesday, August 15, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Wendall Jones, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States, at the Bahamas Embassy, 600 New Hampshire Avenue, N.W.

The South Korean businessman is also President of SK Inc, one of the largest companies in Asia and Co-Chairman for the Committee for the bid to host World Expo 2030 in Korea. Ambassador Jones used the opportunity to promote tourism from Asia to The Bahamas and to inform the delegation of the development of a market for Carbon credits in The Bahamas.

Ambassador Jones, a career journalist who was President and CEO of Jones Communications International Limited in Nassau before his diplomatic appointment, presented Mr. Tae-won with a copy of a book on The Bahamas’ 50th Independence Anniversary that was recently produced by Jones Communications Network
