KUDOS TO TEAM BAHAMAS FOR FANTASTIC PERFORMANCES AT SPECIAL OLYMPICS

NASSAU, Bahamas  — Team Bahamas received a rousing welcome at the Lynden Pindling International Airport, on March 22, 2019, full of cheers, hugs and Junkanoo music upon their return from the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games. The 24 athletes scored 14 medals — including six gold  — at the Games, held in Abu Dhabi.  Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture Rhoda Jackson, Director of Sports Timothy Munnings and Ambassador of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the State of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) His Excellency Tony S.
