GOVERNOR’S HARBOUR, Eleuthera, December 2, 2023 — After years of disrepair, major renovations are currently underway at the Governors Harbour International Airport
Announcing this in a post on Facebook, MP for Central and South Eleuthera Clay Sweeting, Minister of Works and Family Island Affairs, said these “upgrades are long overdue and provide the travelling public with a safe and comfortable environment while visiting our beautiful island or returning home.”
“In addition to the extensive repairs and renovations, we are pleased to announce new International airlift from major commercial carriers coming in the first quarter 2024,” Mr. Sweeting said. “My commitment to the restoration, revitalization and redevelopment of Eleuthera is grounded in the love I have for our beautiful home. Together, we can continue to ensure that Eleuthera reclaims its crown as the jewel of The Bahamas.”
