MASTER MOTIVATOR WITH AN “INCOMPARABLE BAHAMIAN HOSPITALITY GIANT”

NASSAU, Bahamas – Master Motivator Spence Finlayson (right), who served as Master of Ceremonies at the Bahamas Debutante Foundation Ball at the Melia Resort Saturday night (April 27), posted several photos on his Facebook page with noted individuals at the ball, and I felt compelled to share this one with Romeo Farrington, who has been involved in the “transportation business” as a taxi driver for many, many years. Romeo is indeed an “incomparable Bahamian hospitality giant,” as Spence quite rightly described him, an asset that’s vitally important in a country with a tourism-based economy such as The Bahamas. As Spence Finlayson also noted, Romeo had a role in “Jaws The Revenge”, the 1987 movie with Michael Caine and Mario Van Peebles, and I suspect that his transportation service was used in several other movies filmed in The Bahamas, given his excellent reputation in the transportation industry. Romeo was at the ball because his daughter Eloise Farrington-Whyms was an honoree. Keynote speaker for the occasion was former Senator Dr. Jacinta Higgs, Director of Gender and Family Affairs at the Ministry of Social Services.
