The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments and Aviation was excited to once again partner with the Bahamas Consulate Miami to host a special Bahamian Heritage celebratory game with the Miami Marlins vs the Seattle Mariners on Saturday, June 22 at loan Depot Park in Miami, Florida.

Prime Minister the Hon. Philip Brave Davis threw out the first pitch to open the game and shared a special moment with Marlins player Jazz Chisholm Jr. on the sidelines.

Miami Consul General Kurt Hollingsworth was on hand to rally the crowd with a “Let the games begin.”  Bahamians from throughout Miami and the wider South Florida were also encouraged to bring their noise makers and flags to show their Bahamian pride.

Jazz Chisholm went 1-2 in the game, which was won by Seattle, 9-0. In today’s game (Sunday, June 23), the Marlins defeated Seattle, 6-4. Jazz went 2-4, scored a run and had 1 RBI. He is currently batting .264 and has 10 home runs and 36 RBIs
