MINISTERS DAMES AND PINTARD OPEN RBDF TRANSITIONAL ENTREPRENEURAL TRAINING WORKSHOP

NASSAU, Bahamas, June 3, 2019 —  — Minister of National Security the Hon. Marvin Dames; Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources the Hon. Michael Pintard; and Commander, Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF), Commodore Tellis Bethel participated in the opening ceremony of the Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation’s RBDF Transitional Entrepreneurial Training Workshop, held at BAIC Training Centre, on Monday, June 3, 2019.

Among those also present for the opening ceremony were Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of National Security Eugene Poitier; BAIC Chairman Bishop Gregory Collie; BAIC board and staff members; RBDF Executives, Officers, Warrant Officers and Non-commissioned Officers; and seminar participants and stakeholders.

During the course of the workshop, which is slated to run until June 6, 2019,  presentations will be presented by facilitators on various topics —  including “Preparing Your Business Plan”, “The Small Business Development Centre”, “Financial Literacy” and “Investment Opportunities Via the Central Bank”.

Workshop participants will also visit the Gladstone Road Agro-Industrial Park and undertake team-building exercises for entrepreneurs. (BIS Photos / Eric Rose)
