WSAHINGTON, D.C., December 31, 2023 — Deputy Prime Minister Chester Cooper, who is also Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation, today posted a collection of photos on Facebook that I absolutely had to share with readers of my online publication, BAHAMAS CHRONICLE, which has a huge following among the Bahamian diaspora across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom as well as in The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.

What’s more, the news shared by the Deputy Prime Minister is of tremendous importance to the legions of Dallas Cowboys fans in The Bahamas, whose numbers may be second in size only to the multitude of rabid Miami Dolphins fans in Freeport and Nassau.

In the narrative accompanying the photos, Deputy Prime Minister Cooper noted, “The Ministry of Tourism has cemented a three-year partnership with the world-famous Dallas Cowboys to promote The Bahamas in one of its biggest markets in the United States. This will align nicely with our various direct daily airlift from Texas to Nassau to connect with our 16-island destinations.

“Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation Chester Cooper and other tourism officials attended the home game yesterday against the Detroit Lions, along with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. The collaboration of one of the most reconizable sports brands on the planet and one of the most sought-after vacation destinations is an exciting venture.”

EDITOR’S NOTE: This is indeed a major accomplishment by Deputy Prime Minister Cooper and his
tourism promotion team. Combined with the magnificent job Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture Mario Bowleg is doing in using sports as a core feature of his ministry’s promotion of The Bahamas, Prime Minister Philip E. Davis has every reason to look forward to 2024 being a prosperous New Year for The Bahamas.
