MISS BAHAMAS ADVANCES TO MISS WORLD SEMI-FINALS

NASSAU, Bahamas, January 21, 2022 — Miss Bahamas World Sienna Evans has been named one of the 40 semifinalists who will be invited back to Puerto Rico to compete in the 2021 Miss World finale.

The 40 semi-finalists were chosen from 97 contestants from around the world. As semifinalists, they will return to Puerto Rico on March 12th to continue in the competition.

Originally scheduled for December 16, the 2021 Miss World pageant was postponed due to health and safety interest of contestants, staff, crew, and the public following a Covid outbreak. The finale will now be held at the Puerto Rico Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot on March 16.

Sienna performed exceptionally well in the four weeks leading up to the original finale date and was widely considered to be a favorite for the crown prior to the postponement. Today’s Miss World Organization announcement that she is one of the 25 judges picks serves to cement that sentiment. The beauty queen is excited to pick up where she left off.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity to continue in the competition for the Miss World title and I can’t wait to reconnect with my Miss World sisters in Puerto Rico,” Miss Evans said. “This is truly and honor and I will do my best to make everyone proud.”

The Miss World finale will be broadcast live on Cable Bahamas REV TV on a channel to be announced. The Miss Bahamas Organization once again wishes to thank the people of The Bahamas, our sponsors, and pageant fans the world over for their support of our queen and ask that you continue to rally behind her during this final leg of the competition.
