WASHINGTON, D.C. — Her Excellency Maria Luiza Ribeiro Viotti , the new Ambassador of Brazil to the United States, on Thursday, August 24, 2023, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Wendall Jones, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States,  at the Bahamian Embassy, 600 New Hampshire Avenue, N.W.

The two discussed a number of matters of mutual interest, including climate change, the crisis in Haiti and matters of trade.

Brazil is the second largest economy in the western hemisphere behind the United States and is the world’s ninth largest economy. It has abundant natural resources and a relatively diversified economy.

Ambassador Jones invited the Brazilian Envoy to visit the Bahamas soon to experience the hospitality of the Bahamian people.
