NASSAU, Bahamas, July 1, 2021 — Mrs. Lonnie Rolle, Deputy to the Governor General, administered the Oath of Allegiance, Oath of Office and Presentation of Instruments during the swearing-in of new Deputy Commissioner of Police Loretta Mackey at the Office of the Governor General on Wednesday, June 30, 2021.

Mackey was previously head of Administration and Support Services for Grand Bahama and the Northern Bahamas before being promoted from Chief Superintendent of Police to Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP) in April 2020. She had been responsible for Administration and Support Services for Grand Bahama and the Northern Bahamas, including Abaco and Bimini, since 2006.

Mackey is described on linkedin.com online as being “Intrinsically motivated to serve internal and external customers of the organization with distinction while creating safer communities with my colleagues.”

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education (Business) from the College of The Bahamas and a Master’s degree (MSc) in Organizational Learning & Leadership from Barry University.
