FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, July 29, 2019 – Under the theme, “Rotary Connects the World,” the newly chartered Rotary Club of Grand Bahama held its first Installation Ceremony to a packed house of supporters and fellow local and visiting Rotarians from the United States during a “Black-Tie Affair” at the Grand Bahama Yacht Club off Midshipman Road on Saturday, July 27, 2019.
Along with President Christine van der Linde, board members installed included: President-elect Rengin Johnson, Secretary Jackie Russell, Treasurer Raquel Smith, International Service Chair Malvese Capron, Club Service Chair Mercynth Ferguson, Community Service Chair Dr. Tamarra Moss; PR/Marketing Chair David Mackey, Youth Service Chair Roosevelt Rolle, Sergeant-at-Arms Titi Moss and Vocational Service Chair Angelika Christie.
The new club makes its debut with a total membership of 25 and joins four already well established clubs on Grand Bahama: Rotary Club of Lucaya, Rotary Club of Freeport, Rotary Club of Grand Bahama Sunrise, and Rotary Club of Grand Bahama Sunset.
All of them make outstanding contributions to the Grand Bahama community and several have projects that receive special attention which demonstrates a total commitment to Rotary’s motto, Service Above Self.”
