NASSAU, Bahamas — Nine Cabinet ministers were sworn in by Governor General Sir Cornelius A. Smith during a ceremony at Baha Mar today, The Nassau Guardian reported on Monday, September 20.

Glenys Hanna-Martin, MP for Englerston, was sworn in as minister of education, technical and vocational training.

Wayne Munroe, QC, MP for Freetown, was sworn in as minister of national security.

Senator Ryan Pinder was sworn in as attorney general and minister of legal affairs.

Fred Mitchell, MP for Fox Hill, was sworn in as minister of foreign affairs and public service.

Alfred Sears, MP for Fort Charlotte, was sworn in as minister of works and utilities.

Jomo Campbell, MP for Centreville, was sworn in as minister of state for legal affairs.

Senator Michael Halkitis was sworn in as minister of economic affairs and leader of government business in the Senate.

Dr. Michael Darville, MP for Tall Pines, was sworn in as minister of health and wellness.

Clay Sweeting, MP for South and Central Eleuthera, was sworn in as minister of agriculture, marine resources and Family Island affairs.
