NOTICEABLE CHANGE AT THE EMBASSY OF THE BAHAMAS IN D.C

WASHINGTON, D.C., September 26, 2019 – I visited The Bahamas Embassy this afternoon to get my NIB benefits form notarized and signed, a process that Bahamians living abroad who receive NIB benefits are required to do every six months. The photographs of former Prime Minister Perry Christie and former Minister of Foreign Affairs Fred Mitchell had not yet been replaced by the photos seen in the background of current Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis and current Foreign Affairs Minister Darren A. Henfield the last time I visited the Embassy, where I was Press, Cultural Affairs and Information Manager for four-plus years before the change of government, so I decided to have this photo taken for posterity sake. I had hoped to speak with current Ambassador His Excellency Sidney Collie, but he was at a meeting attending to the “people’s business.”
