“The Progressive Liberal Party extends best wishes to Team Bahamas in Tokyo, Japan at the 2020 Olympic Games.
I am delighted to see our team set to compete. After a year-long delay, it is commendable that our athletes, coaches, and managers have remained committed and demonstrated the focus and discipline required to participate at this world class level.
Amid Covid Emergency, these Games present unique challenges for our athletes, but I am confident Team Bahamas will meet the moment and rise to the occasion at this XXXII Olympiad. These games are unique in that spectators are banned from the events, but no doubt, Bahamians everywhere will be following and cheering for our athletes.
