NASSAU, Bahamas — Declaring Friday’s traffic accident that ended the lives of four women a national tragedy, Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis called on the nation to pray for the grieving families as hepledged the government’s continued support for those impacted, the Nassau Guardian reported on June 5.
In a national address Saturday night, Minnis also called on pastors across the nation to offer special prayers for the deceased and the families of those injured. The women were killed and 24 others injured when a runaway truck hit participants on the 2018 Labour Day Parade.
