NASSAU, Bahamas, December 9, 2021 — Prime Minister the Hon. Philip Davis has expressed his dedication to ensuring that Bahamians are at the forefront of the movement in attracting major crypto-exchanges and related players to the islands.
The Prime Minister spoke on Wednesday, December 8, at SiliconCaribe’s ‘Future Of Caribbean Money’ Conference, which was hosted by Crypto Isle, The Bahamas’ first and only cryptocurrency and blockchain co-working space.
The event, which took place over the course of two days, featured panels, fireside chats, and master classes, with a goal to amplify people and businesses using technology, collaboration, community and daring policy to reimagine the future of Caribbean money.
“We applaud the organizers here for blazing a path, and creating a community for Caribbean blockchain and crypto players to connect, learn and earn,” the Prime Minister said. “We look forward to seeing many Bahamian and Caribbean entrepreneurs begin to thrive in the fintech industry because of their involvement in this community. “
