NASSAU, Bahamas, October 20, 2023—Prime Minister Philip E. Davis today met with Kemba Eneas-Walden, the Acting National Cyber Director in the Office of the National Cyber Director in Washington, D.C.
Mrs. Eneas-Walden was accompanied by Usha Pitts, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Nassau
In the narrative that accompanied a group of photos posted on Facebook, the Office of the Prime Minister noted that with “deep Bahamian roots as the daughter of the late beloved Dr. Judson Eneas,” Mrs. Eneas-Walden “brings impressive expertise to the world of cybersecurity and public service.”
“As The Bahamas establishes itself as a tech hub, particularly in digital assets and cryptocurrency, in a world increasingly reliant on digital security, we encourage our people to explore the vast opportunities in cybersecurity,” the post added. “This field safeguards the future of digital innovation. Acting Director Walden is a testament to what’s possible.”
Eneas-Walden joined the Office of the National Cyber Director in May of 2022 as its principal deputy and upon the retirement of John C. Inglis on February 15, 2023, she became the acting director and was involved in the development of a National Cybersecurity Strate.
She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, her Master’s in Public Affairs from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs, and her B.A. in Political Science from Hampton University.
