PRIME MINISTER DAVIS WELCOMED TO BELIZE

Prime Minister Philip Prime Minister Philip Davis was welcomed to Belize by H.E. Amalia Mai, Chief Executive Officer for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Immigration.

SAN PEDRO, Belize — H.E. Amalia Mai, Chief Executive Officer for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Immigration of Belize, welcomed Hon. Philip Davis, Prime Minister of The Bahamas, to Belize.

Prime Minister Davis is in San Pedro for the 33rd Inter-Sessional Conference of the Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize, March 1 – 2.

He is accompanied by a delegation that includes Foreign Affairs Minister Fred Mitchell, Minister for Grand Bahama Ginger Moxey, Parliamentary Secretary John Pinder and Minister for CARICOM Leslia Brice.

Belize’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Immigration is led by the Honourable Minister Eamon Courtenay, and Honourable Minister of State, Ramon Cervantes.

“They are ably assisted by the Chief Executive Officer H.E. Amalia Mai,” according to the Ministry’s website.

“The Ministry is responsible for providing policy direction and strategic development in:Foreign Policy,International Cooperation, Foreign Representation, Foreign Trade, International Trade Negotiations and Immigration & Nationality Services,” the  website notes.
