NASSAU, Bahamas – The Office of the Pime Minister on Wednesday, February 16, “put the spotlight on a pastry chef who enticed members of the press with lots of sweet treats.”
While at the Office of the Prime Minister’s Press Briefing, Kenria Taylor met Prime Minister Philip Davis, who offered words of encouragement to the young businesswoman.
Taylor’s passion for food began shortly before her sophomore year of high school where her dreams of travel, competition and writing quickly blossomed. From then to now, she says her life has completely revolved around the Culinary Arts.
Taylor has had the opportunity to compete abroad representing The Bahamas and is also the 2017 Caribbean Junior Chef of the Year. She pursued an education at Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island, and while there she discovered her unquestionable love for doughnuts and developed an interest in the art of pastry.
Taylor is now the writer behind the food blog, Persimmon & Thyme, and proprietress of the confectionary company, Paradise Gourmet Doughnuts & Co..
