WASHINGTON, D.C., January 14, 2024 — Prime Minister Philip E. Davis today posted a collection of photos on Facebook on his visit to his constituency that I absolutely had o share with reader of my Washington, D.C. – based online publication, BAHAMAS CHRONICLE, which has a huge following among the Bahamian diaspora across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom as well as in The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.
The excellent collection of photos by this powerful narrative:
“This weekend, I had the privilege of returning to the heart of my journey, the communities of Cat Island, Rum Cay, and San Salvador. As your Member of Parliament, it’s these visits back home that truly remind me of my roots and the responsibilities I carry.
“We’re making headway with exciting projects like the new airport on Cat Island and essential upgrades in Rum Cay and San Salvador. But, more importantly, this visit was about rekindling the bonds that tie us together. It was a chance to listen, to share, and to work hand-in-hand with you all.
“These days were a reminder of the trust and support you’ve placed in me, and I’m committed to working tirelessly to build the future we all envision, not just as your representative but as your friend in this partnership.”
EDITOR’S NOTE: By any yardstick or measuring rod, Prime Minister Davis, who led the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) to a landslide victory in the September 16, 2019 general election, has been doing an absolutely fantastic job — politically and administratively — at the helm of the Ship of State as he navigates the country through some occasionally turbulent waters stirred up by international warfare and other global problems.
