FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, February 26, 2020 — The Rotary Club of Lucaya held the annual installation of officers, directors and members of the three interact clubs sponsored by the Rotary Club of Lucaya — the Interact clubs of Sunland Baptist Academy, St. George’s High and Jack Hayward High – on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at St. George’s High School.
The installation is usually held in October, but due to the devastating impact Hurricane Dorian had on Grand Bahama in the first week of Septembr 2019, it had to be postponed. The event was organized by Rotary Club of Lucaya Youth Service Director Clifford Bowe, who was the master of ceremonies.
Lisbeth Maigaard Knowles, Assistant Governor for Rotary District 6990, who is a member and Past-President of the Rotary Club of Lucaya, was among the speakers. Other speakers included Jaims Carey, President of the Rotary Club of Lucaya; Donald Glass, Assistant Governor; and Billy Jane Ferguson, Past Assistant Governor and school advisor.
School advisors Ms Bennett from Sunland Baptist Academy and Ms. Campbell from St. George’s were also in attendance.
