WASHINGTON, D.C., September 2, 2023 – The Rotary Clubs in Grand Bahama continue to exemplify a dedicated commitment to Rotary’s “Service Above Self” motto, very often combing their efforts in doing so. On Saturday, September 2, 2023, the Rotary of Grand Bahama held an event at the Beacon School in Freeport when the guest speaker was Minna Outten-Winters, Past-President of the Rotary Club of Lucaya.

The clubs posted a collection of photos on Facebook that I decided to share with readers of my online publication BAHAMAS CHRONICLE, which has a huge following among the Bahamian diaspora across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom as well as in The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.

The photos were posted with the following narrative:

“And let it be fun” certainly came out today with our presenter PP Minna Winters. Her ‘Freudian slip’ delivery- style-sense-of-humor kept us engaged, full of laughter and fun while also being informative. Thank you, Minna and all the visitors from the Rotary Club of Lucaya and other clubs.

EDITOR’S NOTE: I was a member of the Rotary Club of Lucaya when I lived in Freeport and was Editor of The Freeport News. Indeed, I am a Paul Harris Fellow, a recognition acknowledging individuals who contribute $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation.
