WASHINGTON, D.C., February 2, 2024 – Declaring that the Royal Bahamas Police Force has the full support of Government as “they expand leading policing technology to enhance their efforts in keeping our communities safe,” the Office of Bahamas Prime Minister Philip E. Davis  today posted a collection of photos on Facebook that I absolutely to had to share with readers of my Washington, D.C. – based  online publication, BAHAMAS CHRONICLE, which has a huge following among the Bahamian diaspora across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom as well as in The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean

The photos were posted with the following narrative:

This week The Prime Minister visited the Royal Bahamas  Police Force Command Centre to inspect and learn on more about facial recognition CCTV. For the past two years RBPF has been beta testing this technology, with extraordinary success, and are now launching a major expansion.

Technology such as CCTV and Shotspotters have shown how effective technology can be in helping our officers identify and respond to incidents quickly and efficiently. The Royal Bahamas Police Force has the full support of the Prime Minister and the Government as they expand leading policing technology to enhance their efforts in keeping our communities safe.

This initiative falls within the policing and enforcement pillar in the government’s 5 Pillar Plan. To learn more click this link: https://ow.ly/sHVu50Qx0rG
