NASSAU, NP – Savour Bahamas is entering a new phase of growth with the opening of the Savour Fresh to Go Café and the launch of a larger commercial kitchen. The company, which is the largest Bahamian-owned in-flight catering business in the country, has spent the past year expanding its footprint. In early 2025, the team introduced luxury yacht provisioning services at the Bahamas Charter Yacht Show. With the upcoming opening of the café, Savour Bahamas will now offer a dedicated space for freshly prepared food and house-made items that are part of the company’s signature menus.

The Savour Fresh to Go Café sits on the property of the Golden Palm Bed and Breakfast in western New Providence. It will serve freshly made sandwiches, salads, and drinks prepared by the Savour Bahamas team of chefs, and guests will also be able to purchase sauces, jams, and jellies that are found on the company’s in-flight catering and yacht provisioning menus. The café hosted a private sneak peek on December 12, and will have a public soft opening on December 23. The café’s hours will be Tuesday to Sunday from 7am to 7pm.

Chef Marcella describes the menu as flavourful, fresh dishes with a unique Savour Bahamas spin. “The Savour Fresh to Go Café menu will include fresh seafood like a pineapple-salsa-topped grilled salmon, as well as options like our Southwest salad, and we will even have some unique items coming soon like sandwiches that incorporate coco bread and uniquely Bahamian breakfast items like a conch fritter waffle.”

The new Savour Bahamas commercial kitchen is also located in the same building as the café, and will provide the company room to grow to meet evolving customer needs. Savour Bahamas Executive Chef Marcella Evans says the kitchen is an important part of the company’s future. “Our new commercial kitchen is larger and will allow our team a greater level of flexibility,” said Chef Marcella. “We can now prepare meals for larger airlines while still keeping the same standards that guide everything we do.”

The café and kitchen are only one part of Savour Bahamas’ broader plan. Chef Marcella says more is ahead in the coming months. “This is just the first step,” she said. “We will soon offer cooking classes and a brunch series. We want to create a space where people can enjoy good food and also learn from our team.”

Chef Marcella’s work has gained regional attention in recent years. In addition to appearing on Maggie’s Food Court, which was filmed in Jamaica and broadcast throughout the Caribbean, Chef Marcella was also a weekly featured chef on the Bahamas Ministry of Health and Wellness’ Whatcha Cookin’ show. Her career spans resorts, private chef work, and international culinary events, and her new digital Chef’s Journey series follows her as she connects with culinary professionals around the world. So far, she has showcased her culinary journey in Jamaica, Kenya, South Africa, and Indonesia, and her Thailand segments will be rolled out in early 2026.
