SBDC DIRECTOR PAYS COURTESY CALL ON AMBASSADOR COLLIE

 

WASHINGTON D.C.–  Ms. Davinia Blair, Executive Director of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). and Mr. K. Quincy Parker, Director at The University of The Bahamas, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Sidney Collie, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States and Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States (OAS), on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at the Embassy of The Bahamas, 2220 Massachusetts Avenue, N.W.

Ms. Blair, who was appointed Executive Director of the newly established SBDC in June, 2018, is a former Director of The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers’ Confederation and former Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Affairs at The University of The Bahamas.

The SBDC, a tripartite initiative with the University of The Bahamas, Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers’ Confederation and The Ministry of Finance, is designed to build the institutional framework and support for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in their initial development stages.

In addition to discussing SBDC initiatives, Ms. Blair and Ambassador Collie also discussed potential areas of collaboration with entrepreneurs and investors in the United States.

Ms. Blair and Mr. Parker are in Washington D.C .this week attending America’s SBDC Annual Conference.
