SEEING JAZZ PLAY IN PERSON IS NOW ONE OF MY TOP PRIORITIES

Jazz Chisholm Jr. is having a possible Rookie of the Year season.

WASHINGTON, D.C., September 10, 2021 –Jazz Chisholm Jr. and the Miami Marlins will be in Washington, D.C. for three games early next week (Sept. 13—15) and I would really like to see one of those games and possibly get the opportunity meet Jazz.

As you can see from this excerpt from a report on last night’s game, Jazz is having a possible Rookie of the Year season: “Miami infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. on Thursday became the team’s second rookie to have 15 homers and 16 steals, joining Hanley Ramirez. His eighth-inning blast proved to be the game-winner against the Mets on Thursday.”

Financially, things are kind of tough for me these days, but I am trying to rearrange my “bills-paying” priorities to purchase a ticket for a good seat at Nationals Stadium so that I can see Jazz play in one of next week’s games. Even though I have a mobility problem and use a walker, I live six blocks from Nationals Stadium, which is just a $5 ride by cab, so seeing Jazz play in person is an opportunity I do not intend to miss.

Of course, my loyalty will be divided, so I shall wear my Nationals shirt and one of my BETTER IN THE BAHAMAS baseball caps. What’s more, although I shall be pulling for my beloved Washington Nationals to win, I shall also be pulling for Jazz to get a hit every time he comes to bat. Hopefully, the bases will be empty every time he comes to the plate and a hit will not do too much damage.
