SIXTEEN BAHAMIANS RECOGNIZED FOR EXEMPLARY SERVICE

NASSAU, Bahamas — His Excellency the Most Hon. Sir Cornelius A. Smith, O.N., GCMG, Chancellor of The Societies of Honors, conferred the Privileges of Orders of Honours to 16 distinguished Bahamian citizens on National Heroes Day, October 11, 2021.

The outstanding Bahamians were recognized for exemplary service in fields of Religion, Law Enforcement, Politics, and Public Service.  Prime Minister the Hon. Philip Davis gave remarks at the ceremonies held at British Colonial Hilton.

The 2021 National Heroes honorees are: Algernon Allen, Leon Smith, Eugenia Cartwright, Mary Johnson, Robert Sands, Percival Knowles, Patricia Meicholas, Dr Patricia Bazard, Al Collie, Rev.
