SOME ADVICE FOR CELI MOSS: RUN FOR A SEAT IN THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTIONS

Celi Moss releases video on Facebook that seems to make a great deal of sense.

By OSWALD T. BROWN

WASHINGTON, D.C., January 27, 2021 — Celi Moss’ father the late Polo Moss and I were very close friends. Polo was one of the cadre of excellent professionals involved in the hospitality industry back in he 1960s who helped to establish The Bahamas’ reputation as one of the world’s leading tourist destinations that is still very much a fact today.

I am not familiar with the genesis of his disagreement with EVOLVE BAHAMAS that prompted him to release  a video on Facebook, but he seems to make a great deal of sense in the video response to what triggered his impassioned reaction to the issue he addresses.

Here’s the narrative that accompanied the video:

“EVOLVE BAHAMAS’ REBUTTAL: Checkmate. Game Ova.

Bottomline,

  1. No Independent Candidate Or Party Candidate Can Bring ANY “Change Is Here” To The Bahamas If Via Article 71, The Executive Authority Of The Bahamas Is Vested In Her Majesty. And No Glorified 2 Piece Of Meat Local Government Leader Can Pass Any Law/Article 63, Unless Her Majesty Approves It. Big, Huge, Massive, Colossal Facts.
  2. Bahamians Cannot Truly Benefit From The Natural Resources Of Oil, Aragonite Etc., Why? Cause The ‘CROWN LAND’ and everything in and under it belongs to the people whos Ancestors Literally Owned Your Great Great Great Grand Parents. Facts.
  3. Stockholm Syndrome Is Real In The Bahamas. Facts
  4. In 2022 Election, Any Low Esteem Underachieving Slave Mentality Politician That Supports The Article 71 Power Of The Bahamas VESTED IN Her Majesty Is Not Fit To Lead This Country And The Next Generation.

NO LIE SHALL LAST FOREVER. AND IT ENDS NOW!!

Let’s Give Our Children The Opportunity To Be The ‘Masters Of Their Destiny’ And Not The Footstool Of Others.”

My advice to Celi, however, is that since you seem to have some strong beliefs as to how The Bahamas should be governed, stop being an outside agitator and “throw your hat into the ring” and run for a seat in the House of Assembly in the upcoming general elections.

Your father Polo was a strong Roman Catholic whose “roots” were in Brougham Street Over-the-Hill, and if my memory serves me correctly, you were brought up as a devout Roman Catholic who attended Mass religiously every Sunday at Our Lady’s Roman Catholic Church through Deveaux Street. Hopefully, you have not “strayed too far” from the principles that I am sure Polo — who was a no-nonsense, God-fearing, law-abiding man – instilled in you. These are all great attributes that, unfortunately, are lacking among some of the persons who are currently members of our House of Assembly.

If you do decide to run in the next election, I would like for you to consider using the public relations services of THE BROWN AGENCY LLC and my online publication BAHAMAS CHRONICLE to assist in promoting your campaign.

BAHAMAS CHRONICLE was launched after my diplomatic tenure as Press, Cultural Affairs and Information Manager at the Embassy of The Bahamas in Washington, D.C. ended after four-plus years following the change of government in The Bahamas in May of 2017. It has a huge following in The Bahamas as well as among Bahamians and nationals of other CARICOM-member countries in the diaspora across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Our rates are very affordable, and I really think that BAHAMAS CHRONICLE can be an extremely effective medium in promoting the political campaigns of independent candidates – and indeed, all candidates – in the next general elections, regardless of political affiliation.
