NASSAU, Bahamas — A state-recognized funeral was held for former Senator Dr. Calsey Johnson at Rhodes Memorial Methodist Church on Friday, November 8, 2019. Dr. Johnson, a former veteran broadcaster and diplomat, died on October 24. Interment was at Woodlawn Gardens.
Dr. Johnson served as general manager of the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas (BCB) for a number of years and later became the executive chairman of the BCB. Upon his retirement, he became involved in business and was later appointed as a Senator and Bahamas High Commissioner to Canada. The Hon.
