WASHINGTON, D.C., July 17, 2024 — I am a huge, huge fan of Steve Harvey — whom I consider to be one the most multi-talented entertainers in the United States and, indeed, the world – so when I saw this post on Facebook by Everton Obi Powell, who lives in Washington, D.C., I absolutely had to share it with readers of my online publication, BAHAMAS CHRONICLE, which has a tremendous following among the Bahamian diaspora across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom as well as in The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.

Steve Harvey has 7 children from 3 different wives. He first became a dad in 1982 when he and his then-wife, Marcia Harvey, welcomed twin girls, Brandi and Karli, 42. The couple also had a son, Broderick Harvey Jr., 33, in 1991 before their divorce in 1994.
Steve welcomed another son, Wynton, 27, in 1997 with his second wife, Mary Shackelford, whom he was married to from 1996 to 2005. Two years later, Steve wed Marjorie Harvey and adopted her three children from a previous relationship: daughters Morgan, 39, famous Lori, 27, and son Jason, 31.
