NEW YORK, N.Y., June 12, 2023 — Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) Chairman and Cayman Islands Minister of Tourism and Ports Kenneth Bryan declared the event a success as tourism industry leaders and stakeholders tackled crucial issues impacting the Caribbean head-on.
From combating the sargassum crisis to enhancing air connectivity, tourism directors, ministers, and commissioners of tourism as well as private sector and nonprofit leaders expressed their commitment to shaping a resilient and thriving Caribbean tourism industry.
Together, the region is not only navigating the post-Covid landscape but also boldly innovating for the future.
Alongside committee and business meetings, the week-long event featured an industry marketing conference and the bustling Media Marketplace.
Hosted by the CTO and the CTO Foundation, Caribbean Week showcased the vibrant Caribbean culture, cultivated meaningful connections with the media, promoted thought leadership, and fostered networking within the tourism industry.
Funds raised during Caribbean Week will go towards scholarships and grants for Caribbean students in the region and the diaspora.
