WASHINGTON, D.C., October 4, 2023 – On the occasion of the reading of the Speech from the Throne and the re-opening of the House of Assembly today, Prime Minister Philip E. Davis declared in a post on Facebook, “Today’s legislative agenda announcement underscores one clear message: this administration stands firmly with Bahamian families. We’re championing initiatives that prioritize your safety, ensuring access to healthcare is within reach, revamping immigration to reflect our shared values, and actively working towards easing the high cost of living you face,  especially high energy bills.”

The Prime Minister added, “I am deeply grateful for the continued support of every Bahamian. My primary focus every day is delivering on our promises to people we have the privilege to serve.”
